Hello everyone, it has been a few weeks since our last blog, and we have been since then! From rehearsals, to applications, and talks of future performances we have loved being creative as we lead up to the final couple of weeks before our performance of "Do You Think He Heard Us?" which exclusively premieres at Barnstaple Fringe Festival: Livestream Event 2021.
We hope that you have all been enjoying the sunshine we are having and the lifting of restrictions that have been announced. As creatives, it really has warmed our hearts to see places like the West End reopen and raise so much money for arts foundations. The show must always go on!
During the past few weeks, the four of us have been rehearsing continuously, playing with all 17 characters that make an appearance in our 15 minute show and trying to master the art of a costume quick change! (It's a lot harder than we first thought, and in true fashion, we did not really make it easy for ourselves) But what’s life without a challenge? We are loving it.
Since 12 months have passed when we were originally going to debut our first official show as a theatre company in Barnstaple, it feels right to be going back there to kick off this year with this exclusive 15 minute performance which gives us a window into our main show "King Arthur & His Merry Men". If you follow us on the socials, you would have seen a (very) quick video that showed our first dress run for the show which we enjoyed so much. It was incredible to see what a costume can bring to a character (or 17). We did have to do the dress run in a living room, in limited space which is going to be very different to our place of performance in Barnstaple which is outdoors, in the open with people will be watching via zoom through a GoPro camera system!
As the date is edging ever closer for Barnstaple, we can’t help but to look beyond and start looking at the ‘skeletal structure’ of our next show, which we are delighted to reveal the title to you. Be on the look out in new social media and blog posts for our upcoming show, “All Aboard, Dears!”
